A letter from my mother

It's rainy season in Japan.
In japanese kanji, the rainy season is written as "plum rain". There are several theories, including that the plums ripen during the rainy season.
During this rainy season, many hydrangeas bloom in Japan.
What kind of flowers are in bloom in your country?
